The Penn Valley Group has launched its 2009 Philadelphia CFO Network activities with its first dinner of the year on April 2, 2009. The guest speaker for this dinner is Mark McCollom, Senior Managing Director, Griffin Financial Group and former Chief Financial Officer of Sovereign Bank. Mr. McCollom will be providing insights on today's banking environment.
PVG co-hosts these dinners 4 times a year along with Ernst & Young, Ballard Spahr and the Solomon Edwards Group. As noted by Steve Zarrilli, Chairman of PVG, "We have been cultivating a network of senior financial executives over the past 5 years to allow a sharing of information and ideas. This network now includes more than 130 Philadelphia based financial executives, principally Chief Financial Officers, and represents one of the largest groups of its kind in the Philadelphia market". These dinners provide a perfect forum for informal networking, information sharing and interacting with other thought leaders.
