Situation
As a web-based aggregator of media content, this client collects near real-time news and “infotainment” directly from the airways and delivers it to a platform that enables pinpoint search capabilities. They came to PVG with a request to assist in raising expansion capital to further develop this platform.
Solution
Working with the CEO and the management team, PVG developed the business model, assisted in the creation of the presentation to potential investors, designed the financial terms of the offering and participated in investor and, ultimately, worked closely with management in closing the transaction. PVG continued working with the Board and potential investors in negotiating terms.
Impact
This client raised $5 million, which enabled the company to further develop its product, fund key marketing initiatives, position themselves for additional syndication deals, and provide a foundation for future funding.
